Aberdare National Park
Situated in the Aberdare Mountain Range, this is a remarkably varied area with vegetation ranging from open moorland, rushing
waterfalls, bamboo thickets and the dense forest of the salient. It is home to an enormous variety of bird and animal life including the rare and elusive bongo antelope, elephant, black rhino and giant forest hog.
By spending a night at one of the two forest lodges, the Ark or Treetops, you can experience unique night game viewing at the salt licks deep in the forest. This is an ideal way to see some of the nocturnal animals that you might not normally see elsewhere.
Our preferred camps and lodges include:
Treetops
Serena Mountain Lodge
Aberdare Country Club
