Ladakh
Ladakh is located at the very northern tip of India in between the western Himalaya and the Tibetan Plateau. The culture is Buddhist with very close ties to Tibet and has in the past been described as 'Little Tibet'. There are some excellent trekking routes around the Ladakh and Zanskar Valleys which will bring you into contact with some wonderful stompas, pastures, mountain passes with some stunning views. The best time for trekking here is from July to September when the weather is generally very pleasant and there is no snow blocking the mountain passes.
Our preferred hotels in Ladakh include:
Caravan Serai
Shakti Village Walks
