Climate
- a rough guide

Situated on the Arabian Gulf in the western region of the United Arab Emirates, Dubai enjoys a warm, dry climate throughout the year with most days being cloudless and sunny.

The weather patterns tend to be split into two basic seasons as follows:

OCTOBER - APRIL
The dry winter months from October to April tend to see temperatures hover around 78F during the day with slightly cooler, balmy nights which tends to be perfect holidaying weather. December and January tend to be the wettest months, but the rain is heavy and not prolonged.

MAY – SEPTEMBER
The hot summer months from May to September bring hot weather with daytime temperatures averaging 96F and humidity reaching 95%, which is generally too uncomfortable for most visitors.

When to go - Dubai generally enjoys a warm dry climate throughout the year, but it is from October to April that the emirate enjoys its most comfortable climate with hot sunny days and very pleasant evenings and so these tend to be the most popular months to visit. Although rain is relatively rare the wettest months are December and January, and although these downpours are heavy, they tend not to be very prolonged.

The summer months from May to September can be extremely hot and humid and are generally best avoided unless you like the high temperatures.
