Climate - a rough guide
The Omani summer runs from April to September and temperatures are high (average temperature in June is 98° F), especially in the interior (where it can reach 120° F). It can also be very humid at times in certain areas such as Muscat.

The Omani winter runs from October through to March with average temperatures around 76° F and cool and clear nights.

In the Salalah area humid weather with temperatures of around 85° F is common all year round, however, from July to September, during Khareef season, the region experiences monsoon rains (Khareef) and cooler temperatures unlike anywhere else in Oman, and the landscape turns spectacularly lush and green.

When to go - The best time to visit Oman is generally during the cooler winter months from October to March, with average temperatures of around 77° F and cool, clear nights. The rest of the year tends to be hot and humid, apart from in the Dhofar region during Khareef season (July to September), where rain and cooler temperatures turn the landscape wonderfully green and lush.
