Bonaire - Caribbean Extension
Bonaire’s biggest appeal is its amazing reef-lined coast, all of which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Bonaire Marine Park. Bonaire boasts 350 different species of fish, the highest fish count in the Caribbean, including angel fish, parrot fish, seahorses, manta rays and dolphins and about 60 types of coral. There are almost 90 identified dive sites and with many of the sites accessible from the shore, snorkellers can also find Bonaire to be a very rewarding destination.
Bonaire has an interesting and varied selection of places to stay. Unlike other Caribbean islands it doesn’t have much in the way of large resorts, rather the places tend to be smaller and more personal.
Our recommended hotel is the Harbour Village Beach Club, a small and luxurious property set on its own private beach with delightful views out across the Caribbean and close to the charming streets and shops of Kralendijk, Bonaire's capital.
