Home to over 130 different ethnic tribes, this is a world of gilded pagodas and temples, vibrant and colourful markets & floating gardens as well as many ancient cities, monuments and myths. Myanmar (Burma) is also naturally stunning with its snow-capped mountains, rolling hills, serene lakes, powder white beaches, lush paddy fields and the mighty Irrawaddy River that runs like a backbone down through the heart of the country.

Myanmar (Burma) has been relatively sidelined in terms of tourism over recent years on account of its political situation, which has ensured it has remained quite undeveloped and little changed over the years and thus can be a little more challenging to travel around than some other countries. However this has ensured it has retained all of its original charm and with strong religious, Buddhist beliefs at its core, visitors can’t fail to be moved by the beauty, generosity of spirit and hospitality of the Burmese people.
